Qualifications and Additional Offerings

I have practised yoga for more than 37 years. Before teaching yoga full-time, I worked in education: first in youth and community work, and then at Tewkesbury Comprehensive, where I became Head of PSHE (Personal, Social and Health Education).

Yoga teacher training

I trained with Sadhana Mala, one of the UK’s most highly regarded yoga teacher training courses, affiliated with the Association for Yoga Studies.

  • The Art of Teaching Yoga: a 500-hour course, which I began in 2015.
  • The Art of Individual Teaching: a further 500 hours, from 2017, so that I could offer individual tuition and the therapeutic application of yoga.

Continuing professional development

Over the last ten years I have completed many CPD courses, workshops and trainings. Studying the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali continues to shape how I practise and teach.

Additional offerings

Alongside my own classes, I work freelance:

  • I create and deliver wellness courses for the Gloucestershire Adult Education Service.
  • I am a coach for Shift Art and Movement Ltd, helping to assess teachers through an online wellness programme for schools.
  • I help to run the Holiday Food and Activity Camps with the Calm Kids Club during the school holidays.

I teach in person and online, and can record sessions for you to practise again at home. You can find my group classes, one-to-one tuition, workshops and retreats, workplace wellness sessions and yoga for children and teens on the Classes page.
