I booked an appointment with Rachel of Tewkesbury Yoga looking for some ideas to develop a form of exercise and movement that was therapeutic and restorative.
I Have always been drawn to intense activities such as boxing, running and weightlifting; at times I find it hard to physically relax through movement and with life feeling a bit more stressful in recent times, I was keen to find something that could help me.
Speaking to Rachel I knew she could help. Her calm demeanour and broad knowledge was really inspiring, and left me confident I had come to the right place.
The session was excellent. Rachel taught me things about my body I didn’t know and I always felt confident that everything she asked me to do was within my grasp. The work was challenging enough to be effective but delivered in such a calm way that I could feel myself slowing down and unwinding.
At the end of the session I couldn’t believe how relaxed I felt. My body felt loose and comfortable and mentally I felt so peaceful and at ease.
Rachel has a wonderful practice and a real gift to help you achieve that inner calm that can feel so elusive. She has so much to offer to so many people, particularly right now in the times we find ourselves living in.
Working with Rachel isn’t about painful stretches. Rachel is a teacher of a philosophy to help you feel calmer, more relaxed and at peace with yourself.
